Melissa is passionate about helping people, which led her to pursue a career as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2005. Since then, she has been working with her clients to make their financial life more simple, effective, and meaningful. It’s been her life’s work to serve her clients in this capacity and provide clarity to their financial goals.

Stein Wealth Advisors was founded in 2008 by Melissa and her husband Josh. Previously, Melissa worked successfully as a financial advisor for a major financial services firm in the Pittsburgh area. She has received multiple industry awards, including the Ameriprise Sr. Financial Planner and Circle of Success awards.
She is a graduate of the Boston University School of Management with a concentration in Finance. She also completed the Duquesne University School of Leadership curriculum, earning an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning. She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification (CFP®) from the CFP Board and her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation (CRPC®) from the College for Financial Planning.
Melissa is a strong supporter of women in business. She founded POWER, a Washington County women’s leadership organization. Melissa was a finalist for the 2011 Athena Awards by Washington County for her contributions towards women’s initiatives. She has also served on numerous boards including the Financial Planning Association & Treasurer of YPE Pittsburgh.
Melissa and her husband, Josh, reside in McMurray, PA with their children, Jackson, Elle, and Elijah. They have been active members of the South Hills community since 1992. Melissa is an avid cook and gardener.
