Born and raised in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Courtney is deeply rooted in the Pittsburgh area and surrounded by a close-knit family. She has two siblings, six nieces and nephews, and proudly describes herself as being in her "favorite auntie era." Much of her family still lives nearby, while others are spread across Virginia, Ohio, and even Poland, making family an important part of both her life and her perspective.
Outside of the office, Courtney loves spending time outdoors and is happiest exploring hiking trails, visiting the ocean, or discovering new places through travel. She has a creative spirit and enjoys everything from arts and crafts to baking, cooking, and experiencing new cuisines. An animal lover at heart, she also enjoys volunteering at equestrian centers and farms whenever she has the opportunity. Whether she's planning her next adventure or trying a new recipe, Courtney believes some of life's best moments come from curiosity and connection.
Courtney's professional journey began in 2017 in the private equity industry, where she joined a Pittsburgh-area firm as an Executive Assistant to the founders. Within six months, her initiative and leadership earned her a promotion to Special Project Manager. While advancing in her career, she returned to school and earned her Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership & Management from Duquesne University, further strengthening her passion for organizational excellence, leadership, and process improvement.
When the opportunity to join Stein Wealth Advisors arose, it wasn't just the position that stood out—it was the people. Courtney was drawn to Josh and Melissa's character, values, and genuine commitment to serving clients. She saw an opportunity to build a long-term career where she could use her organizational strengths to support the firm's continued growth while helping create an exceptional experience for every client who walks through the door.
One experience early in her career continues to shape the way she serves others today. While working in real estate, one of the firm's clients had recently lost her spouse and was preparing to sell her home. Knowing she was navigating an incredibly difficult season, Courtney made a point to regularly visit her, help with staging and organizing the home, and simply provide companionship while the realtor was away. What began as practical assistance became something much more meaningful. That experience reinforced a lesson she carries with her every day: treat every client as though they were a member of your own family, because you never truly know what someone may be going through.
As Office Manager at Stein Wealth Advisors, Courtney serves as the organizational heartbeat of the firm. She oversees office operations, supports Josh and Melissa, assists with marketing initiatives, helps coordinate client communication and events, and works to ensure every aspect of the client experience runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her role allows the advisory team to remain focused on serving clients while she helps create efficient systems, thoughtful processes, and a welcoming environment for both clients and team members.
Although she's excited to contribute her own experience, Courtney approaches this new chapter with the mindset of a lifelong learner. She describes herself as "a sponge," eager to absorb the knowledge, wisdom, and mentorship of the Stein Wealth Advisors team. She believes that every lesson she learns ultimately benefits the people who matter most—the firm's clients. Her greatest hope is that every client feels reassured knowing they have a trusted team helping provide stability, organization, and confidence for their financial future.
